Motorcycle Learner Permit
For those wishing to obtain their Motorcycle Learners Permit, the DECA Motorbike Learner Permit course equips students with the skills and knowledge to ride safely and confidently.
A combination of theoretical and practical learning activities ensures this nationally recognised training is your best opportunity to obtain your motorbike or scooter Learner Permit in a fun and informative manner.
If you have never ridden a motorbike or scooter before, or you have very limited riding experience, it is strongly recommended that you complete a Motorcycle Introductory Course first.
Full Fee: $245
VTG: $195 (funding eligibility dependant, please call DECA to discuss)
VTG Concession: $108.60 (funding eligibility dependent, please call DECA to discuss)

This training is delivered in conjunction with Wodonga Institute of TAFE. Successful participants will receive a VicRoads approved Temporary Learner Permit upon completion of the course. DECA will process all paperwork, with students receiving their Learner Permit from VicRoads and a statement of attainment with nationally recognised units of competency from TLI31210.
One day (8 hours) course held with a maximum of six learners
Please Note: Depending on number of participants, course length may change to accommodate size of class
Course includes an eyesight assessment, a theory test (based on the 'Victorian Riders Handbook') and a skills test
DECA will provide motorcycles, helmets, gloves and wet weather gear (if required) at no extra charge
Must hold a current Victorian car learner permit
Be at least 18 years of age
Provide either a photo licence or primary and secondary proof of identity prior to course commencement
Wear appropriate clothing with full skin cover for riding motorcycles
Obtain and study the 'Victorian Rider Handbook' from VicRoads before the course begins
Obtain VicRoads clearance if suffering a medical condition (other than asthma treated by puffer or poor eyesight corrected with glasses or contact lenses)
